Doubt is the killer of life
How doubt finds its way inside your head
Doubt is sneaky. It creeps in whenever you lose focus or awareness on what you really want. It can be relentless, continually popping its little ideas inside of your head over and over and over again until you fall victim to its trap. Alas it has you again, pulling you along for the ride, taking your power to choose with it.
This happens a million times a day without us aware that its even occurring. So how does this work? Lets say you start your day with the intention to feel really amazing about yourself. You look in the mirror and say “I’m beautiful!” and you feel the vibration of you being beautiful for a few moments. Then you hop in the shower and start thinking about all of the things you need to get done today. You look down and notice that your body doesn’t look like you want it to look and you really want to loss 10 pounds. You begin to feel fat instead of beautiful. You quickly shift your focus back to feeling beautiful, but its a little bit harder to access that feeling again. There is a little voice inside your head now telling you that your fat too and that voice feels more true to you so you believe it and start to feel ugly.
This is a simple example, but it is how doubt creeps in. If you decide to put your focus on seeing where doubt enters your mind you will begin to see just how many times a day doubt robs you of what you actually want. This can be anywhere from feeling beautiful, having financial abundance, being in the relationship you desire, feeling confident or having the health you desire.
The power to choose what you want
Die hard commitment to whatever it takes
Some of these voices of doubt (aka impossibility) are freaking loud, overbearing and will do whatever it takes to win. What that means is that you have to be 100% fully committed to what you actually want instead of what these pesky voices are telling you. Without being committed you will get what they tell you rather than what you tell you.
What is required is for you to be a vigilant investigator. You must continue to monitor and be aware of when these voices are arising. One of the tell tale signs that a doubt voice came in is that you start to feel bad. Maybe your mood changes, maybe your body starts feeling tired or hurting or maybe you mind goes numb, lacks clarity or checks out. These are all red flags for you to wake up and investigate “ok what just happened, why am I feeling this way, what doubt just arouse and what am I believing to be true”. If you start asking yourself these questions you will start unveiling your unconscious tendencies to fall into old, unproductive patterns that are not what you want.
Doubt is really, really convincing. Its job is to smash your dreams and take away all possibilities for something different. It is ultimately up to you if it will be successful or not. You hold your own magic wand here and you are the only one in charge of it. Once you are aware of the pattern, then you get to decide. You are the chooser of your own life, health, emotions, thoughts, reality and destiny.
Doubt thinks that its job is to protect you from harm, but what it does instead is limit what you believe is possible. In the face of those things that seem impossible to believe about yourself or life, doubt gives you the ultimate opportunity; to develop faith and confidence in that which you do not yet know. In the presence of faith doubt falls on its face. Rise to test, and keep rising, and keep rising. It well worth the journey.
