PEACE & HARMONY

PEACE & HARMONY

Our inner & outer worlds

Peace and harmony, the condition that so many people say that they desire.  To be in a state of eternal peace, calm, balance and harmony within one’s self and with their seemingly external environment is the final destination so to speak for many.  People may experience inner peace, but their outer world may look chaotic and vis versa, they may see outer peace in their environment yet their inner world is turbulent.  How do these inner and outer worlds merge and are they even supposed too?

By in large we are a “collective of individuals” who are all at some level attempting to get their own needs and wants met, along with making a contribution to the collective in some way, i.e. making the world a better place through our presence and actions.  Within these motivations and intentions we may feel like there is not enough of something (meaning our needs might not be met) so we run around in survival mode inside of our minds strategizing how we can make it all work so that we can survive.  This perspective of scarcity is clearly not in congruence with inner peace.  When we are stuck inside this perspective of scarcity, even if we have a million dollars in the bank and can logically see that this is plenty of money, we will continue to feel fear that we might not have enough.  Here the disturbance lives inside of our own mind and we do not feel rested, calm or at peace even though the external world is abundant.  These same disturbances can live in our outer world too.  There may be something that appears to be a threat in our outer world, perhaps disrupting the environment and lives of others, while simultaneously we feel at complete peace and calm inside.  Our inner state is unperturbed and not matching that of the outer world.

There is more often than not a congruence between our inner and outer worlds.  The reason for this being that most individuals take their cue from their environment and/or project their inner state onto external circumstances.  So if something appears to be bad in the outer world people will match that in their inner world and thus feel bad inside.  The opposite goes as well, if someone wakes up in the morning and feels amazing, energized and fully vibrant then they will tend to project that onto their outer environment despite what might actually be appearing.  This is how two people can look at the same thing and see it completely differently.  This is also why it sometimes appears that people live in different worlds from each other, because in some ways they actually are living in different realities.

I personally believe that we are at a time in our evolution where this disparity will become increasingly and increasingly more evident.  Where based on people’s chosen perspectives they will create outer worlds together that match their inner frequencies.  It may even be that at some point that beings of slightly different frequencies may not be able to physically perceive each other anymore as the different frequencies band together creating more coherence within themselves as a collective of like frequency.  Like waves riding on top of or parallel to each other with less and less mixed frequencies and more distinctly coherent and unified frequencies coming together.  Literal parallel realities which have none or minimal interaction with each other as they offer completely different experiences.  Again speaking from my personal perspective I believe this is similar to what happens in what we have come to call the death process.  There is a different frequency in which the spirit of the body transitions into, which is why we can no longer see them, however they are very much still in existence just imperceptible to us from our current frequency.  Death simply being a transition into the new.  Some beings may pick another human body and reincarnate into a similar type of experience and others may have learned everything they came to learn/express and move into another frequency experience.  Either way I see us on Earth, while embodied, making this transition collectively, some will be repeating this cycle and staying at the current frequency to learn/express more at this vibratory level, while others are ready for the next vibratory level of beingness.

COLLECTIVE TENDENCY TOWARDS DISHARMONY

Coming into right relationship with what is

Our current frequency or collective has a tendency towards disharmony.  The prime reason for this being that we still perceive ourselves to be separate from our environment and from other people.  This sets up the conditions of needing to live for a “me”, take care of a “me” and support a “me”.  As long as the perspective of being an individual is primary we will also need to protect ourselves from perceived others including our perceived outer environment.  This will bread more war, both outer and inner, as we will always have to defend ourselves from the evil thing, which in truth is just an aspect of ourselves, but we cannot perceive this if we continue to insist on the perspective of separation.  So we will fight, protect, avoid and try to get rid of or stop certain things inside of the appearance because we fear the end of our personal, egocentric existence.  In truth your small limited person centric consciousness cannot stop life from occurring.  You can definitely attempt to hide your portion of the One that you are from life, avoid life, avoid certain people or experiences, however in the end its all included and at some point on your soul’s journey you will, you must, come face to face with everything you attempt to push away.  This is how you will come to know your unity, your oneness will all.  From the smallest microbe to the largest galaxy, you are one with it all.

Due to the fact that we do not intimately and undoubtedly know ourselves as One we do not know harmony.  Harmony is an impossibility from the perception of separation.  You see harmony is health.  Health of our human body, health of our planet as the larger body, and even health of our universe as the One body.  Most of us don’t think in scales this big, but instead only see ourselves as human(s) and maybe our planet as being important.  However every action you take either physically or in consciousness has an impact on the entire universe.

In our healthcare system we call harmony homeostasis, however we only look at it from a physiologically perspective.  If all of the chemical reports reveal the right ratios and numbers we think that is health.  Never mind the investigation of where harmony comes from in the first place.  To be in harmony is to be in right relationship with.  This means to see all as extension of you.  In this way you can come into right relationship with your cells, bacteria, viruses, cancers, and the myriad of other “afflictions” that can occur to this physical vehicle.  Things are only afflictions if you are not in harmony.  People fear because they do not see that they are the operator of this vehicle, that they can come into harmony with themselves and with everything else and thus see the effects of that that harmony play out through this human vehicle.  Instead they feel the need to fight the foreign invader and fail to see how they can come into harmony with what is and produce health.  When will we believe more in the power of peace and harmony than we do in the power of destruction, alienation, fighting and war?

All that is required is a change in belief.  To see harmony as the power that it is.  To believe in its power.  To stop protecting ourselves from ourselves.  To see ourselves in and as all.  To see how coming into right relationship with what is is more powerful than resistance and fighting what is.  To do so, to choose so, creates an entirely different outer world.  This may seem too simple for some to believe.  They want it to be harder, more complex, but really what they want is to hold onto their belief that destruction and war is what heals and creates harmony.  They also want to continue to hold onto the belief that they are separate from their own body, from other humans, from plants, animals, insects, trees, dirt, bacteria, other worldly beings, other planets and the universe.  They prefer the story line that they are alone in the universe and that life is solely up to them.

Life is not solely up to you and simultaneously you matter beyond infinity.  Come to understand that you are part of one much larger beingness of which you have never been separate, you’ve only believed your separateness.  Its just a belief, one that can be changed by you, through you.  In opening your own mind to the possibility that separation is simply an illusion, just a veil or mask through which you’ve been looking through, you will come to see that you could never be separate from anything ever.  What is possible is that you are connected in and as the source of all.  Human consciousness on this planet is like a cancer in the universe believing itself to be separate from the whole of the universe.  The universe is benevolent and is organized towards increasingly higher and higher orders of coherence, i.e. wholeness.  It is time for the cancer of our consciousness to heal, to come into its knowingness of itself and reunite with its universal family remembering the power of peace and harmony.

Body Intelligence

Body Intelligence

Stress & Acceptance Physiology

There is a natural intelligence to our bodies.  It is clearly evident that our bodies know how to coordinate a zillion biochemical process each day without us even being aware of it.  Modern medicine has barely scratched the surface in understanding the complexity of the way that our body operates and functions.  While it has made advances in looking at the physical components and parts it almost never steps back to see what is the operating force for this physical body in the first place.

It is obvious that when we cut or injure ourselves that our body initiates a sequence of events to heal the tissue.  Different tissues tend to repair at different rates.  Many of what we label disease processes are the body’s intelligence attempting to recalibrate or heal itself in the best way it can given the situation it finds itself within.  Even when things seem maladaptive to us, meaning producing some kind of symptoms, this is often an intelligent process that is initiated to help adapt and heal the body.  This is also why simply eliminating symptoms can be dangerous as the body created them for a purpose, which is to support homeostasis and healing.  The adaptability and capacity of this body intelligence is really quite astounding and one that we often don’t give much attention to unless it seems to not be working correctly.

This begs the question as to why it seems that this intelligence fails us at times.  Why does the body not repair after injury or find that perfect balance in its internal processes that we maybe once experienced?  Why does the body’s intelligence sometimes need external or outside assistance?  Lets start with the most significant cases first and work our way backwards.  In the most significant of cases an injury or insult to the body structure is so great that the body’s intelligence can’t reconnect and revitalize that part of the body despite its best attempts to do so.  You might see this with a car accident where there is loss of a limb or a stroke when a portion of the brain dies.  Connection has been severed and the body’s intelligence simply can’t reach or reconnect to that part.  When a part of this body is disconnected from its intelligence source its energetic resource is limited and it eventually ceases to function.  This is what we would call a death process of that part.  When intelligence completely ceases to inform this body structure that is what we call a full or complete death of this physical form.  Again this is the most significant of cases.

Now at the body level we experience death processes every minute and this does not mean that a portion of the body or the entire body dies.  Believe it or not millions of cells die each second and millions of new ones are born each second.  Unbelievable I know but look it up for yourself.  The death process is actually a very important part of the regulation and health of this body, so much so that I would say that our resistance to a death process occurring is one of the major factors that interferes with our ability to heal.  Wait, what did I just say?  Yep you read correctly.  Due to our often impatience, fear, loss of stability in our body of what once was and wanting to go back to how we felt in our body before a pain or symptom arose we tend not want to let go of what once was.  We thus create a state of resistance aka stress physiology in our body and we are attempting to live in the past which always creates suffering because its impossible to do so.  In this way we interfere with the emergence of the new (which is on the other side of every death) by holding onto the old with the grips of our current idea of life.  When we are unwilling to accept what is, including the potential or actual death of the way that things were, we get stuck.  When we are stuck we desperately seek for some answer or some clarity that will bring us back to the knowing we once knew rather than this new state of uncertainty and instability that we find ourselves in.

Now back to the body’s intelligence.  The body’s intelligence is always programmed towards health, vitality and wholeness in its actions.  When communication between our body tissues and the intelligence that informs them are intact and not interfered with this information is effortlessly communicated behind the scenes of our conscious awareness and our body functions optimally.  However if this information cannot reach the tissues of the body for some reason then the communication cannot get relayed.  In my opinion and experience the number one thing that interferes with this communication process is us.  Meaning we create the interference in the system through the inner state of being that we are choosing.  Now are there other things that interfere with this communication besides our inner state of being?  The answer is most definitely yes.  Not creating a good physical environment for the body by consuming crappy foods, crappy thoughts and not taking care of the physical body in the ways it needs all interfere.  These things are vitally important to our physical health and vitality, but they are not the entire story.

The good news is that in many cases reconnection can be re-established.  The sometimes hard to swallow news is that we first have to accept the current-present-now state of our body before that connection comes back to life and our tissues can be re-vitalized.  On a body level this means that we have drop resistance, drop fight/flight mode, drop stress physiology so that the body intelligence can reconnect.  The physiology of stress (aka resistance) blocks physical healing and blocks the communication of the intelligence of the body with the body tissues.  Stress and healing physiologically work in opposition.  On a mental-emotional level this often means we have to stop thinking and start feeling the loss of what was, feeling the pain of not being able to go back, and feeling all of the other difficult emotions that are connected to not feeling or experiencing how you want to be feeling and experiencing being in your body.

Acceptance physiology is radically different than stress physiology.  It’s the physiology of flowing, communicating, non-interfered with body intelligence.  When we quit holding onto what was, which is embracing the death of what we once knew, only then will we see the new that can emerge.  The clarity that we were so hungry for when we were feeling stuck begins to illuminate our experience.  We can see what needs to be done and take actions accordingly.  We become increasingly ready for whatever we need to do and be.  Our physical body may still be experiencing some symptoms but our relationship to their expression has dramatically changed such that we don’t even really mind that their present if they are.  This is the power of acceptance.  You have this power.  We all have this power.

Healing through being

Healing through being

What healing is & how it occurs

Old vintage oval mirror standing on wooden tableThe cultural belief is that one person must do something to another person often via some tool, technique or device, in order for the person to heal from what is seemingly ailing them.  Everything from our modern medical establishment to the plethora of healers with their healing modalities reinforces this belief.  There are ever so few people out there including healers, no matter how alternative they are in their thinking or methods, that really understand what healing is and how it occurs.

Healing is 100% an inside job.  It is all about your perception and relationship to what is.  Tools, techniques, devices, healers, etc are all simply permission slips for the already whole state to be mirrored to you and accepted by you.  The reason why some methods or healers seem to be better or more effective than others is because the mode of presentation of the method or the person is more acceptable to you.  Meaning you feel some resonance with either the person/healer or the tool and therefore it is a better permission slip for you; you more easily accept that it will work for you and therefore it does.  This is why some things or healers appear to work for some people and not for others.  It is really never about the thing/healer, as the thing or person is inherently neutral.  Instead it is all about what lands for you and gives you a sense of an inner “yes”.  You must follow that inner yes as it will guide you to those things which will work best for you and which your being is most receptive too.  Until you are fully rested in the knowingness of your wholeness having mirrors and permission slips is vitally important.

It is my experience and understanding that the true role of the healer is not to “do” anything.  Instead the role is simply that of a mirror that reflects the true, whole essence.  Call that reflection love if you will.  A healer simply reflects love so that when you are in the presence of such healer you see your true self, which is love.  Love is perfection, completion, and wholeness so therefore when you see yourself as this everything in your seeming external environment (including your body) becomes that.  Everything follows your perception.  When your perception sees love, knows love, then everything becomes love.   Seeing through the lens of love or wholeness is what healing is and how it occurs.

Healing through being

True health is a state of well-being

Attractive young woman in white meditating at lake.Due to the fact that we are largely focused on doing, rather than being, our focus is almost perpetually on what is being done rather than the state of presence or being itself.  If enough has been done, changed or accomplished than we feel successful.  We almost never gauge our success on how well we “be-ed” today.  This is also true when we look at our own healing.  We tend to focus on what has physically changed as a measure of success, meaning did the symptoms go away.  Symptoms going away actually has relatively little to do with healing.  A person can be symptom free and not be healthy.  A person can have multiple symptoms but be in a state of pure presence, love and grace (state of being rather than doing).   To be healthy is to be in a state of well-being.  The mere presence or absence of symptoms is a crappy indicator of a state of health despite what we have been brainwashed to believe.

When I am working with someone no matter what tool, form or technique that I am using, my focus is not on what is being done, but instead on the nature of existence or awareness.  It is a focus on beingness and the perfected acceptance of all that is, including you.  When that reflection of perfection is received by you the effects of that are frequently that something seems to have changed or been done.  This can be noticed by changes in your physical form, such as how a place in your body is opening or shifting, or some movement of energy, but a change in the physical is not a requirement for healing to occur.  You can still have symptoms, but be in a state of pure, perfected, bliss and oneness, where the presence or absence of symptoms doesn’t even touch you because you are so rested in perfected love.

It is when we develop resistance to what is that our state of being (aka health) declines.  Resistance is the state of being that equals ill health.  Just how many people are fighting or trying to change the appearance of what is, thinking that the harder they fight and the more seemingly unflawed the appearance (aka body), the more healed they will become?  I’d say just about pretty much everyone thinks this way.  We resist because our mind tells us that we don’t like what is, or that what is is bad or wrong, or that it means something negative, but what if through acceptance of what is (rather than the fight to fix or conquer it) we found all the healing that we are seeking for so badly.  What if it has never been about what is done to you, but instead your relationship to what is, which by the way is 100% in your control.  What if your healing has been within your power all along.  I’m here to tell you confidently that is has, its just that the path has seemed a bit cloudy.  I’m here to help clear the clouds so that that which already is can be seen and accepted by you.

Acceptance doesn’t mean that things don’t still occur or aren’t seemingly still done.  Things occur.  Movement happens. Appearances, including your body and symptoms, change.  Your life can be undergoing major transitions and transformations.  Its simply that your well-being isn’t dependent on what is occurring anymore.  You’ve transcended the need to control circumstances, again including your body, and you now allow and move with whatever arises within your experience, all the while learning and growing and being rested in knowing that all is perfectly well.

Dampening out love

Dampening down love

Dumbing it down, numbing it out

34249675 - metaphorical expression of squashed heart on a black backgroundMost of us are afraid of our own hearts.  True story.  We can use a myriad of excuses as to why we can’t love, feel love or be love, but what is boils down to is that we are afraid to love.  Afraid to use that thing that sits in the middle of our chest and is the core essence of what every person is striving, consciously or unconsciously, to feel more of.

So what are we really afraid of?  We fear rejection, being “too much”, not being received by others, or feeling too much.  We also create stories about what it means to love, which limit our expression of it, and thus of ourselves.  The level of love that we choose to express in most situations is correlated with how much of it we think the other can receive.  If it seems that the other can only take a certain amount in, then we dumb it down or numb it out.  Meaning we numb and dumb what we are feeling which then influences the actions we will or won’t take.

This simply choice dramatically impacts the level of passion, desire, and drive we have for life.  Our fear of rejection, need of acceptance, and inability to be vulnerably safe overpowers that of anything else.  We will squash our own selves to significant degrees just to make sure that others receive us.  Then we wonder why we “can’t feel” anything and seem to wander aimlessly claiming to not know our purpose in life. Its because we have compressed, shut down, or numbed out the very thing that is our compass and guide on this journey of life.  Our heart.

Love in expression

Reconnecting with your inner compass

92561896 - heart with compass isolated on white backgroundLove is love.  It has no limits.  Its bound by nothing and is the essence of everything.  Regardless of how much you participate in the expression of love has no effect on love itself.  Love itself never changes, is always present and is abundance itself.  It is your truest nature and core essence.  However most of us do not know this, believe it or really get it.  Instead we believe that we are separate, isolated, distinct beings, and thus live disconnected from the source of what we are.  With this we think we can be cast out, not included and need to fit in and fend for ourselves.  We fall out of alignment and feel that things are not right or could go wrong at any moment.  The result of this is protection, defense and being “on guard”, which is also known at chronic stress or fight/flight.

Reconnecting with your inner compass, aka your heart, requires noticing when you are in reaction and defense in your body and in your day to day life interactions.  One of things that Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) assists you with is noticing where you are in defense and protection mode in your body.  Where you are holding resistance and tension patterns.  NSA does not magically eliminate these tension patterns, but instead illuminates them so that you are more aware of how you do you.  Without this illumination and awareness it is impossible for you to create different choices or hold yourself differently.  How you hold yourself in your body is a reflection of how you interact with life.  If you hold yourself in tension and protection then your participation in life and with others will reflect this as well.

Love in greater expression also takes risk and courage.  Courage to look or feel dumb, to not be received in the way you hope and desire, and to do it anyway.  There is not a single guarantee.  It is simply a matter of how you desire to show up and be with life.  This life really is a momentarily glimpse.  I invite you to stop dampening and numbing it out.  Be bold, take the risk and let love express through you in the myriad of ways you desire to express it.

Your body’s currency

Your body’s currency

Energy, energy, energy

money flyingWe all know that currency is what makes a system run.  Currency is a form of exchange.  For example our economy thrives on money for exchange.  There are other system that use barter or trade.  So what is the currency for your body?  What makes your body thrive like money does for our economy?

The answer is energy, energy, energy!  Energy is your body’s system of currency.  The more energy you can access and use, the more your body thrives.  When you have more money you to tend to feel more taken care of and your basic needs are met.  The same is true for your body, the more energy you have the more taken care of your body feels and the better it runs.

Your body is a system and in order for it to function properly it needs its currency.  Say for example you went to WholeFoods and filled up your cart with groceries.  When you got up to the checkout line you realized that you had no money.  No money=no groceries (instead feel hunger).  This same theory works for your body.  No energy=no health (instead experience disease).

It’s really this simple and the proof is in your day to day experience.  Think of the days when you and your body feel amazing.  You are typically rested, energized and alert.  Think of days when your body feels like crap.  You are usually tired, low energy and moody.

Great, now how do I get more energy?

Accessing & utilizing energy

If we go back to our money example above, it pretty simple to see how you get more money.  You either work smarter or harder and you have more money.  Now some people have access to more money but utilize it inefficiently, meaning in ways that don’t really support them.  The same is true for energy and your body.  Some people can access energy through various means (yoga, meditation, exercise, food, sex, social connection, etc) yet they don’t use this energy efficiently for their body.

47624946 - human energy body aura with chakras - woman and manYour body is orchestrated by an intelligence.  This is how your liver knows what to do and your stomach knows what do without you having to tell it what to do.  There is an “innate” intelligence built into the system.  You can think of it as a blueprint.  When this intelligence is energized it can carry out all its functions efficiently.   When its not energized your body begins to malfunction and hurt.

Network Spinal Analysis “assists” this intelligence of your body by adding more energy to your body system.  It also teaches your body how to efficiently use energy through the development of “spinal gateways”.  As you progress through care these spinal gateways are developed along your spine between the vertebra (bones) in your back.  There is a precise physical location to the spinal gateway and also an energetic location. These spinal gateways grow larger, both deep into your body and away from your body, as you progress through care.  This is important because as they grow your body system gets increasingly energetically efficient.  You become able to not only access more energy but use it more efficiently, which means your body functions better.

Energy is the name of the game when it comes to your health!

Positive thinking stunts your growth

Positive thinking stunts your growth

Importance of re-connecting to the negative

As of recent we have been educated on the importance of positive thinking.  We’ve been told by all the modern “gurus” that positive thinking is what will move us forward and give us our dream life.  Affirmations, notes on our mirrors, mantras, key words, etc. have become our modern day bible.  The underlying belief being if you just focus and think positive enough than you will get what you want.  Now there is some truth in this as people can use their thoughts to get into a better feeling state and this can attract more of what they think they want into their life.  However more than not I see this fail time and time again as people can’t sustain the energy level required to manifest their dreams and soon fall back into their old patterns.

22066379 - lady measuring a man's height, vector illustrationWhile we have been bombarded by the “positive thinking generation”, we have simultaneously been taught to ignore, dismiss and devalue negative thoughts and feelings, which has seriously stunted our growth and forward movement, as feeling these states generates a shit ton of energy for transformation when one knows how to use these feelings productively.

I’ve noticed that people are adamantly resistant to feeling sadness, fear and anger, which are often defined as negative emotions and less comfortable to feel than joy, happiness or excitement. I must emphasis feeling here because many people will stay in their stories (thoughts) about how sad, fearful and angry they are, but will never actually feel their emotions.  This creates mental masturbation, which is one of the greatest ways to create suffering for yourself.  Such people often want to move forward, create change, break through and transform and yet simultaneously feel stuck, report that they feel too much, or the opposite extreme, nothing at all even though there is apparent distress in their body or life. In both these situations a person is on the verge of feeling, however they are resistant to feeling negative/uncomfortable feelings.

Negative emotions

Finding the fuel (energy) for sustainable change

Most of us are familiar with the saying that “life begins at the edge of your comfort zone”.  Feeling negative emotions is feeling uncomfortableness.  Personally my depth of awareness and ability to have the life I want has come from allowing and feeling negative or uncomfortable emotions. It’s not to stay in those states forever, but instead to gain insight and wisdom through the new perspective in which they offer, and to generate massive momentum to move forward and choose that which is asking to be chosen next in your life.

Learning to drop in and be with uncomfortableness is the first step.  Some people however get stuck here and learn to be comfortable with uncomfortableness.  This is NOT the point.  Uncomfortableness should be uncomfortable and should always, always, always generate movement, action, and change.  Nobody earns a medal of honor for bearing or being in suffering the longest.

action inactionThis brings us to the second and most important step which is learning to move through uncomfortableness.  This is essential to all transformation. No transformation will occur without it.  To not be thrusted into action through feeling uncomfortableness, is well, just dumb.  Its like holding your hand on a hot stove and not moving it because you want to  see how long you can endure the pain.  No, you must take immediate action and move your hand off the damn stove instantly, less you want to live without a hand!  This is what feeling uncomfortable is supposed to generate.  Immediate, effective, life saving action.

So hopefully you can extrapolate here but in case its not obvious, when you choose to numb your pain or get rid of your uncomfortable sensation (called symptoms), through medication, surgery, shopping, facebooking or yes even positive thinking, you learn in a way to be comfortable with uncomfortableness, because you suppress that which you don’t want to feel.  In that suppression you lose your energy to create any change because you are comfortable and people don’t create change when they’re comfortable.  In fact most likely you will just continue your life in the same way you were before the discomfort arose until the next thing starts to break down in your body or life.

My advice would be to feel your feelings, even the negative ones you don’t like or want and let them move you to the next place in life, which is their whole entire purpose in the first place.

Create bliss in your body naturally

Create bliss in your body  naturally

Bliss chasing

We are a culture of bliss chasers.  You will be hard pressed to find someone, especially in Boulder, Colorado who hasn’t experimented with marijuana, psychedelics or other substances in order to experience more ease and bliss.  While ingesting these substances can produce temporary state changes and extraordinary experiencing, they do not teach you how to produce these state naturally in your body.  In essence you are  reliant on the external substance to produce a state change for yourself.

Screen Shot 2017-05-07 at 3.53.39 PMIs there another way to sustain easeful and blissful states in your body?  In fact there is!  You are wired for bliss. There are opioid receptors (pain blockers) that run all along your spine.  Endorphins and enkephalins, your body’s natural opioids, get produced when you experience pain and also when you experience enjoyable, high energy states.  Your natural opioids find their receptors and light them up, hence you get physiologically rewarded for bliss feeling states.

So now the question becomes how do you create extraordinary experiences using your own physiology instead of an external substance?

 Sustainable bliss

Accessing your body’s own resources

A-P-090As a spine specialist I’ve had the pleasure to see what happens when the position, tension and tone (vibration) changes in a person’s spine.  When a person has greater freedom and range of motion they are able to live in a higher energy and more blissful state.  Inversely when a person has high levels of tension in their spinal cord it is harder for them to take a full breath, to physically move or be flexible, and to be an in open state, which is required for ease and bliss.  These individuals can ingest a substance and shift their state temporarily, but when the experience wears off they are still living in the same body that does not feel as free as their substance induced state.

In order to experience sustainable bliss in your body you must be able to breathe fully and productively.  If you have high levels of tension in your body you are not doing this.  You must also learn the skills to be present in your body instead of lost in thoughts in your head or floating somewhere out in space.  That requires you learn to be with the range of uncomfortable and comfortable sensations, feelings, thoughts and experiences.  Lastly you must take responsibility for your state of being.  Instead of just haphazardly being in whatever state of being you are in, you must choose the state of being you want to be in.  If you choose a blissful one you will expand your energetic body, along with your field of influence, and you will start to notice people feel good and energized just by being around you.  Your bliss will help others experience bliss, however they must do their own work to sustain and share that bliss with others.

Bump up your energy level

Bump up your energy level

Why do you experience low energy?

low energyOne of the things are hear most often from people who come and see me in my office is that they want to improve their energy levels.  Many people don’t sleep well, wake up tired, get tired midday, or some sleep wonderfully and still have low energy and motivational levels.  So what is really going on here?  Why are we not feeling as energized, motivated and inspired as we would like to feel?

3 basic reasons why people experience low energy.

  1. Nervous system stuck in “alert” mode.  Many people are overstimulated, over-engaged and overwhelmed.  When it comes time to rest they can’t turn off, therefore their body never gets the opportunity to rest deeply, recover and get revitalized.  These people are always running on “empty” in their energy tank, but they use their body’s adrenaline, coffee, sugar and other stimulants to give them artificial “illusionary” energy.  Eventually burnout, breakdown and illness result.
  2. Emotional suppression.  Culturally we have learned to think more than feel and because of that we stuff or hold back feeling our emotions, often unconsciously so.   The purpose of feeling emotion is to generate energy and movement.  When we don’t feel them we lose opportunities to generate energy for ourselves and we stagnate, feel heavy and become stiff/tense.
  3. Need for sameness-security.  We are addicted to our schedules, routines and habits.  We know what to expect, what will happen each day (or week, month, year).  This gives us a sense of security and control, but also make our lives robotic, ordinary and boring overtime.  Instead of overwhelmed we are underwhelmed. This type of living may satisfy our mind’s need for safety, but numbs our spirit and does not allow for novelty.  Nothing will produce more energy than novelty and non-ordinary experiences.

Moving from low to high energy

Moving from low to high energy states is important for the health of your body, emotional states and the quality of your thoughts.  Low energy produces pain/sickness, crappy feelings and unclear thoughts and focus.  High energy produces a vibrantly functioning body, feelings of joy and bliss and mental clarity.

So how do you get from low to high energy?

  1. Stop doing things that are not a high priority/value for you.  If it doesn’t directly effect your purpose on this planet don’t engage in it.  If they are things that need to be done, delegate or hire someone to do them.   You will start to feel less overwhelmed and more excited and inspired by your life because you are engaging only in meaningful things.
  2. Start paying more attention to your feelings.  Several times a day, stop for a few seconds at a time and tune into what you are feeling in that moment.  Acknowledge that feeling out loud, saying something to the effect, “Right now I feel… (happy, focused, sad, irritated, upset, frustrated, angry, etc.).”  This will start the process of you being able to tune into your emotional body so that you can find, feel and use your emotions in energizing ways.
  3. Allow some novelty, unstructured time and and spontaneity daily (even if it feels unproductive).  Instead of doing the same old, try something new.  Try a new lunch place, interact with someone in your life differently than you normally do, choose different thoughts (yes you choose your thoughts they are not randomly inserted in your mind) about something you think about regularly.  This will light up new pathways in your brain and nervous system, and newness always produces increased energy.

A-P-064One of the primary goals at Chiropractic Alchemy is to help create an environment that allows for a higher energy state to inform your body-being.  We do this through influencing and advancing the nervous system so that it can be a conduit for a higher vibration (energy) to course through it.  Higher vibration coursing through your body means that a more highly intelligent or organized energy is informing you.  As a result your body functions better, its easy to feel and use your emotions, and creativity, insight and new awareness are increasingly present.  This is innovation and advancement of the human body-being in action.

Un-fear yourself!

Un-fear yourself

A look at your beliefs

43947471 - fear.If you are human you have experienced fear.  Fear is simply the belief that things are not working or going to work out for you.  It comes with the thoughts that you will be hurt, won’t be taken care of or loved, that you are on your own, separate and isolated.  Fun times🎉, not.

The addiction to believing that things aren’t working out for you is strong and it literally destroys life. Patterns get deeply engrained in your nervous system and cascades of chemicals, like adrenaline and cortisol, get released into your blood stream when you have thoughts that say “things aren’t working out”.  This sets up withdrawal symptoms when you start questioning your fear based thoughts. Who would you be if you believed every situation was working out for you? Crazy? Delusional? Psychotic?  These are the labels we’ve learn to give people who see the light in every situation.

The emotional-chemical cascade will do its best to hijack your system so you continue to feel separate, unsupported, empty and not cared for, as this is what has been the norm for most people’s lives to varying to degrees. This is “comfortable” in that it’s known, and what is known feels more safe than the unknown, even if the unknown is more true.

Life is always working for you

Shifting perspectives

42024392 - child, excitement, ecstatic.Fear and excitement are the same energy, simply viewed through different lenses. To un-fear yourself you must see how everything is working for you. How the relationship that just ended is working for you. How getting fired is working for you. How the painful sensation in your body is working for you. How your current income and resources are working for you.

This reframes your thinking from a lack-based perspective to a presence-based perspective. It’s much more fun to be in presence than it is lack. There is excitement for the unknown possibilities that are emerging based on your belief that everything is working for you, instead of worry for the unknown possibilities that are emerging based on the belief that things aren’t working out for you.

The catch is you must change your perspective before it will be reflected differently in your life. You can’t wait for your perfect life circumstances to magically arrive and then decide to see that life is working for you. If you attempt to do this, then even when you have achieved your ideal life you will not see it. You will be unable to perceive it because you haven’t shifted your underlying belief from lack to presence

You must see how life is already working for you now despite whatever circumstance you are experiencing. Then as life continues to unfold you will see the perfection of it because you have already changed your belief to align with it.  These patterns are underlying in most people’s nervous systems and sabotage our desires & dreams often silently without us even knowing they are there. They are masters of deception and require commitment, persistence and dedication to bring them to light for the ultimate goal of shifting from fear silently controlling your life, to living your life based in freedom.

Use symptoms to empower your body!

Use symptoms to empower your body!

Elevate your body’s consciousness

Every now and then life gives us an opportunity (or struggle if you choose to see it that way) to show us areas where we still feel, think or behave disempowered.  Our bodies are often the source of such opportunities.  We have historically called those opportunities “symptoms” and have viewed them as nuisances or threats.

no way outIn general disempowerment occurs when you have an experience where you want to feel, think, see or do something and you feel like you can’t.  It is an unresourceful inner state that says “I’m powerless, helpless here” and there is no possibility that the situation or you could ever change.

Your body is always responding to your inner state or perspective (your consciousness).  How you feel determines how you feel.  Sounds logical and obvious however most people don’t really get this.  They have not been told that they are the choosers of their state and hence don’t realize that they hold the power to choose and feel differently.

Your body is a perfect “physical” mirror to help you see your unconscious patterns that are creating your current reality including how your body is functioning.   To elevate your body’s consciousness you must elevate and empower your own.

Using symptoms

The opportunity of symptoms

The next questions to tackle then is, how to use symptoms to elevate your consciousness and empower your body?  When symptoms are “physical” we have the tendency to believe that they are real, fixed or static and require aggressive physical measures to change.  Hence the creation of our current mechanical medical model; it perfectly suited our belief systems at one point in our evolution.  We are in a new era now where we have scientifically proven research, that our nonphysical self (emotions, thoughts, soul) inform our physical self (body).  Not everyone has upgraded their belief system yet to include this new information, which is ok, we are a work in progress.

25045469 - young woman with pain in her stomach isolated over white backgroundIn order to use symptoms you must first shift your relationship to them.  We have been very focused on getting rid of symptoms as our relationship to them has been that they threaten us in some way.  Perhaps we think  they are a threat to our health or an activity we want to participate in.  The symptom however, despite what you currently believe, is not the problem.  It is only an effect of an out of alignment belief system and its only purpose is to show you that you are out of alignment.  They tell you “hey- something in your emotions, thoughts, beliefs or behaviors is ready for an upgrade”.  When you shift your perspective in this way you open the door to new possibilities.  You are elevating your consciousness right there.  When you elevate you can hear your body talk in a different way.  Instead of just hearing “this hurts”, you hear new information that may say “hey, you need to stop trying to control everything in your life, you’re making us (muscles, belly, etc.) tense up and hurt”.  Now you have more useful information that you can do something with and you are empowered because you can do something about it if you choose.  When you are empowered and make changes, your body is empowered, and it naturally begins to heal.

At Chiropractic Alchemy we specialize in helping empower people through how their body is expressing, so that you can get the insight, wisdom and create conscious change in your life.
