SYMPHONY OF THE SPINE

SYMPHONY OF THE SPINE

Vibrating waves of light, frequency & tone

Everything in this universe is made of energy, which is expressed in its most basic building blocks as light, frequency or tone.  These vibrating waves of light, frequency or tone contain information which informs what forms and structures they will organize themselves into.  Forms and structures, which we call physical or solid, are simply patterns of energy that have configured themselves in certain ways to give rise to what we see or sense.  Everything in this universe is vibrational in nature and is singing a grand symphony, because at its core it is simply frequency.  Some tones are audible to the human ear.  Others are outside of the normal auditory sensory range, yet nonetheless are still present and can be heard with your “non-physical” ears.  What are those you might ask?  Let’s just call them extra-sensory organs which expand beyond the five normal ordinary sensory organs we currently use and know.

Our spines are receivers of the grand symphony of the universe.  The position or tension pattern of the spine will determine which frequencies we can tune into.  This is kind of like the equivalent of turning the dial on the radio station and hearing a different station play.  However rather than turning a dial you are shifting the position and tension/tonal pattern of the tissues of your spinal cord.  What does this mean exactly?  Well in very simplistic terms its means that when your spinal cord is taut (tight) it tunes into a particular station.  That station might be playing some songs that are quite familiar to you.  The words, thoughts, and feelings that come with those songs might be something like “the world is not safe, other people are not safe, I can’t trust others, I can’t trust myself, I am not good enough, no one cares about me, I’ll never have enough resources, I’m not supported, nothing works, I have to do everything myself, life is against me, I’ll never heal, things will never be ok, I’m scared, I feel sad, things are looking down, this pain will last forever, I’ll never be able to relax and breathe…”.  Elements of this station are pretty familiar to most of us.  We’ve all listened to some of these songs over and over and over again.  For some these are the only tracks that have ever played.

When the tension/tonal pattern of the spinal cord changes position (ie. relaxes) then our nervous system, which is simply an antenna, tunes into a different frequency or radio station.  That station might be playing songs like “I feel good, things are working out, I’m abundant, I decide, I choose, I can trust myself, I am free, other people are allies, I am safe, all is well, support is everywhere, I am getting better each day, life is happening in perfect rhythm and timing…”. We’ve all heard some of these songs before too, however sometimes they get played less frequently than the other songs.  To recap, when tension is high in our spinal cord we tune into frequencies that create a less enjoyable experience of life for ourselves.  When tension is lower we are able to tune into stations that play more enjoyable sounds and songs, which come with different feeling states and a more pleasant life experience.

SHIFTING THE TONE OF THE SPINE

Conduit between consciousness & form

You might be wondering now how to change the tone, position or tension pattern in your spinal cord.  Well your entrainment sessions do just that very thing.  This is often why you might feel lighter after a session, or you might have different thoughts, or see something in a different way.  Sometimes people don’t always make those correlations, yet as the tension shifts in your spinal cord you are simply able to tune into stations that you were not able to before.  The more tension we unwind in our spine (ie. the more relaxed the spinal cord becomes) the more far reaching stations we are able to find.  Some of those stations we may have never heard before and they may seem totally foreign to us.  Yet even though they are foreign they are oddly familiar, and even though we don’t know the songs yet, they feel good to us.  In fact we might experience downright bliss, ecstasy and sense of overwhelming love and warmth as we “listen”, and yet we don’t have any logical reason  as to why.

Listening at this level involves more of what you might call using your intuitive faculties.  We hear beyond the ears, see beyond the eyes, feel beyond the skin, etc.  To our ordinary sensory experience of life this seems abnormal or “special”, yet once your system is relaxed enough to find this station, it really is as normal as any other experience, only it comes with more energy, more aliveness and an experience of interconnectedness.  This is often what I refer to as experiencing or coming to know more of yourself.  You are more than your physical body, emotions, and thoughts, and yet we don’t often tune into stations beyond these.

You might wonder why the amount of tension on your spine directly relates to or effects your experience of life.  The spine is the interface between consciousness and form in this human body.  Due to this relationship the information that it tunes into determines how/what you will perceive and experience.  Just like we can easily move the dial on the radio, we can also change the tone/tension of the spine.  We might go back and forth between stations all day long, sometimes playing the songs of not enough, feeling unsupported, and like life is not working, to changing to the tone and listening to songs of safety, freedom, choice and bliss.  Whatever songs are more relevant and resonate with us we will gravitate towards and listen to more often, because they have a similar frequency with us, with where we are at and with whatever it is that we are currently learning.

In this way your spine is playing a symphony whether or not you hear it.  The information (ie. beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and sensations) all carry tones that make a song.  The sounds of that song transmit or express through you.  No belief, thought, feeling or sensation is good, bad, or better or worse than any others.  All are neutral at their core.  Yet there are often sounds and songs that we prefer more than others.  Preference is ok, insistence however generates the experience of suffering.  Learning to dance to any song that is playing is what it means to be resilient, and to become a master of this waltz.  This is what it is to create harmony where there is disharmony and to enjoy whatever music is playing on your station even if its heavy metal.  This is how you choose your station rather than shift between stations a hundred times a day.  Reminders are good until we remember that we can choose.

YOU’RE THE LIGHT

YOU’RE THE LIGHT

Fear busting

In essence we are all light.  We are not the forms, the identities, or the names we been given or have given ourselves.  We are pure, radiating light.  Even though this is true most of us do not experience ourselves as light.  Rather we experience ourselves as a body and a personality that has thoughts, ideas and assumptions about what it is and what it’s not.  The more thoughts we have about what we are, the less we know what we actually are.  Thoughts create filters from which the light that we are bends and distorts itself.  The more thoughts we have, the more twists and turns the light that we are takes, and the further we are from knowing ourselves.  We become more identified with the forms and we forget the formlessness from which we came.  This makes our experience of ourselves feel dense, solid, and often scary as we are disconnected from true source of self.  We come to trust only what is physical, which is ever changing and provides no true stability, as we’ve lost sight of the light.

Fear of anything, regardless of what it is, is simply the loss of remembering self, or said another way, a forgetting of the light.  When fear becomes the dominant lens that we look through the light can seem scary or overwhelming to us.  That which provides rest, relaxation or levity becomes a threat, because it threatens our perspective of fear which feels very real to us and is our only known source of stability.  Even though we may desire reprieve from the feelings, thoughts and sensations of fear, we desire more the stability in what we know, in what is familiar, even if it is unpleasant.

If we let go of our perspective of fear then we are left in uncertainty.  We feel exposed and vulnerable and open.  Rather than guarding ourselves against potential experience we open ourselves to experience.  Experience is what it is regardless if we are open or closed to it.  The only difference is in how we will experience it, how we will relate to and interact with it, and how we will move and participate with life or not.  We can’t control experience despite our often galant efforts to do so.  We are not the deciders of what occurs, but we are the deciders of how we experience what occurs.  This is our free will, our choice and nothing or no-one can take that from us.  We can only willing give away how we experience what is.  This occurs when we default to programs and conditioning that say we are powerless and where we choose to believe that we have no other choice.  Understand those beliefs and perspectives are required in order for one to disown their power to choose how they experience.

BRIGHTEN UP

Moving towards fear

Fear creates an experience of vigilance or an over attunement to our inner and outer environment.  This may be thought of as sensitivity, but it’s a sensitivity in which one feels powerless or threatened rather than a sensitivity where one feels more connected and at peace with the light that they are.  As we open and become less defended we actually want more sensitivity, more attunement and more subtle awareness.  This is an indication of spiritual developmental progression, a movement towards remembering self.  Yet we want it rooted in power and trust, not powerlessness and fear.  When rooted in power it is the experience of co-participation with life, with the unfolding and there is agreement with what is occurring.  When rooted in powerlessness it feels as though it is happening to you, as though you can’t turn it off and you have just have to be subjected to whatever is occurring in your inner and outer environment.

The funny thing about fear is that it all comes down to us not knowing what is going happen, yet how could we know what isn’t yet and why do we ever think that we should know.  Fear is simply the resistance we have to not knowing mixed in while some thoughts that something bad might occur inside, or on the other side, of that not knowing.  While we become overly identified with the physical so much so that we’ve come to gain our sense of stability in it, yet its blatantly obvious that there is nothing stable about the physical.  Nothing is more certain than birth and death of forms, yet we continue to try to find our source of stability inside of them and get shaken up when they start to destabilize.

The way I see it is that nothing should be taken too seriously, even our fears, especially our fears.  The moment we take them seriously is the moment we move further away from the light.  I have a practice of opening into that which feels scary or unknown.  When I feel fear I notice my tension, my clenching, my resistance and then I notice that I am the one doing all of those things – tensing, clenching, and resisting.  In that moment of recognition I open and allow my experience rather than continuing to close off from it.  See the experience is what the experience is, but I get to experience it how I want to experience it.  Moving towards the uncomfortableness rather than away from it is key, is pivotal, is required for transformation of how we experience what we experience.  In turning towards and opening, there is allowance to feel.  To feel the feelings about the experience which may feel intense for a few moments, and then after that there is peace.  There is no longer resistance.  There is simply openness with the fear, with the unknown.  Presence, breath and ease return.

The return of presence is the return of the light.  No longer is our resistance to our experience blocking the light.  Now we can see, less distorted, less filtered.  This is the process of allowing the light that you are to become brighter and brighter.  The brighter the light, the clearer you feel even though all is still a mystery.  The unknown becomes exciting rather than scary.  This is how you shine, how you radiate and how you move into greater coherence, greater wholeness, greater knowing of yourself.  That is the entire spiritual game. Knowledge of self is the ultimate outcome.

Living Surrendered

Living Surrendered

Distinction of acceptance & surrender

34683163 - beautiful young woman jumping on a giant flowerMany people talk about their “need to surrender” as if its another thing on their to do list to get done that they keep procrastinating.  There’s an idea that surrender is this thing that you do once, or maybe a few times, in regards to a particular situation you find yourself within.  Most think that if they could just surrender or let go then their torment will end.  Within this mode of their thinking there is an inherent sense of powerlessness.  If I could just let go” implies feeling choice-less and thus disempowered.  What many people are pointing to when they say that they need to surrender is really that they want to feel empowered and realize their choice in their situation rather than feeling like a victim of it or like its just happening to them.

This above described situation is really a call for acceptance rather than surrender.  These terms mean different things though many people use them interchangeably.  Acceptance is accepting what is present.  This means accepting rather than fighting or resisting a situation that is currently present.  Acceptance is accepting what is known, what occurred, or what is here.  If we find ourselves in situations that we don’t fully like, that seem like something we don’t want, or that feel overwhelming or jarring to us, we typically don’t want to accept the situation as it is.  The reason for this not wanting to accept what is, is because underneath all the competent facades and masks that people wear, they feel largely disempowered and incapable of being able to work with what is present.  Due to this underlying feeling of disempowerment there develops an unwillingness to want to accept what is and instead we go into trying to manage or control the situation, or we feel collapsed and helpless about it.  This is how the traditional fight, flight or freeze protective/fear responses show up in our lives and keep us defensive rather than empowered.

Learning acceptance of what is, is fundamental to feeling empowered and recognizing your choice in whatever situations you find yourself within.  Acceptance, will in a way, force you into experiencing your power.  It opens the door into your capacity to see your choices.  With this we often find ourselves stepping into situations needing to show up differently rather than expecting the situation to change.  This can be uncomfortable, which again is another reason we don’t want to accept what is, but ultimately it is what helps us realize our power and shift our underlying baseline feelings of disempowerment and victimhood.

True surrendered-ness

Working as intelligent energy

glittery lightSurrender has become such a popular term yet so few are actually experiencing what it is to live surrendered.  Surrender is not just this thing you do when you are at your whits end, feeling helpless and you don’t know what else to do.  In fact in my experience you must feel pretty empowered and know your worth in order to begin to truly taste surrender.  Surrender is an entire way of being and living.  As acceptance is an end of resistance to the known, surrender is an end of resistance to the unknown.  As acceptance is often a doorway into self-empowerment, surrender is a doorway into self-realization.  Self-empowerment is owning your personal value and worth, where self-realization is knowing yourself beyond the person.  Both self-empowerment and self-realization are important in terms of knowing your ultimate self and being able to live that here in this physical-relational world.

Surrender requires that we use something beyond thought to navigate life. Rather than think-doing, which is how most people operate, surrendered living requires that we open into emptiness of thought, or empty the known.  Not being in resistance to the known is quite helpful for this and is why acceptance is often a preliminary skill set to living surrendered.  When we empty the known, yet simultaneously have unwavering confidence in the unknown (some people call this faith), then rather than thought moving you, soul moves you.  You could also substitute the words love, light, or god for soul.  It is an essence that is beyond what you as the identified thinker/person know.  In a way that thinker/person gets dis-abled, or unable to be used in its traditional mechanism, and something beyond what you’ve identified as you takes the reigns.  It moves your body-mind, it knows.  It knows exactly what to do without it going through your thoughts to figure it out first.  Your mind is still present its just not running the show in any way whatsoever.

Living surrendered is to be overtaken by soul, by that intelligent energy-awareness that knows, which is really just you from a wider perspective.  Not everyone truly wants this now, nor is it relevant for everyone at this time.  Yet it is part of the developmental progression of beingness and at some point along the path its relevance will find everyone.  It is ultimately inescapable.  When its relevance does find you and you begin to taste surrender its like living magic.  The need for your mind to figure it all out decreases dramatically.  You realize the limitations of the mind and that you are not it.  You feel less and less separate.  There are no more boxes.  Being with another is like being with yourself.  Your body-mind is just moved.  The more and more your soul consumes you the more you realize that you are it and that you’ve never been this mind-personality-body ever.  You re-identify as soul, light, love, god.

Things still happen, movement occurs, it is incredibly active and simultaneously still.  The perfect orchestration is revealed moment by moment as there is nothing that has to be other that what is.  There is full relinquishment of any personal agendas or will as you see yourself and know yourself, as soul, as Creator, as the One.  You are submerged in the mystery; willingly, gracefully and lovingly, dancing and moving to its rhythms.

Frequency & your body

Frequency & your body

The stuff you’re made of

silhouette of virtual human on brain delta wave form 3d illustraThere are two primary assumptions that most people make and that they don’t even realize are assumptions.  The first is that most of us tend to think that we are our bodies.  The second assumption is that our physical bodies are solid.  Although physics has demonstrated that neither of these assumptions are accurate, our belief systems have not caught up with the facts.

The questions then arise as to what are our physical bodies made up of if they are not solid, what seemingly “holds our bodies together” and what are we really if not our body?  Our bodies are mostly empty space which is packed full of energy.  There are forces of attraction and repulsion which organize the space of our body into its particular configurations.  These forces which configure the body are based on both our individual and the collective belief systems, or said another way, form follows awareness (aka infinite intelligence).

In your more essential nature you are pure light without a particular form.  Light is frequency and frequency is sound, some in the human audible range and some not.  When you incarnate you take that pure light frequency wave that you are and organize it into a particular configuration, which on this planet we call a body.  Again that organization occurs through individual and collective agreed upon belief systems and structures.  Now you have seeming form and that form is visible.  Some forms are less “physical” but still have some level of form.  We tend to believe only what our physical eyes can see, yet this is a limited range of the spectrum of light.  Simply because the human eyes cannot perceive a particular form, does not mean that the form is any less real, just simply less perceivable to us from our current perspective.

You can think of the most amount of light packed into space as having the highest density of light.  When things are highly dense with light they have less physical, and thus visible form.  The less density of light that is packed into a configuration the more a physical form is seen.  Imagine yogis and monks that meditate their entire life.  They clear out their emotions, thoughts and beliefs, emptying their physical form of “heavier” substance and thus allow increasing light density to come through this physical form vehicle.  This is where things like levitation, becoming more translucent in appearance, telepathy and such come into place.

Formlessness

Bringing awareness before form

You are billions, billions, billions times more powerful than you currently realize.  Since we don’t know our power we have to find power in things that seem to be other to us.  Examples of this can be seen as taking a drug, using some type of machine or device, or even thinking that some other person can fix us or is more magical than us.  This is called outsourcing our power.  This isn’t bad or wrong, it is a developmental stage, its just not the full picture.  The truth is that you can never really disown your power, you can only project it onto other things in your reality.  In the bigger picture all of those things are you anyways, its just simply that this individual configuration that you identify as you often times gets left out of knowing its power, so we can feel powerless.  Powerlessness is simply not knowing who or what we really are.

Abstract audio spectrum waveformWhat if you shift your identity back to being light before the form?  What if you begin to bring your more formless nature into the forefront of your focus rather than on the form of your body that you physically see?  In my experience most of us are simply not bringing awareness to our formless-light-energetic-frequency nature; no wonder we feel so disconnected!  For some people it may be that no one has ever pointed our formless nature out to us so we don’t even know what else besides our physical form to bring into the forefront of our awareness.  For others the formless has too much to do with God, religion, spirit or other things not scientifically proven and we just don’t believe it (hence our beliefs creating what we think we are and see).  When the focus is purely on the physical we truly are lost, don’t know what we are and are completely powerless because we are acting from being circumstance (in this case our physical body) rather than the creator of circumstance.  You are the creator of your physical body not the physical body itself!

When I use sounds, tones or “languages” in working with you I am connecting with that more formless, light frequency wave that I am and that you are.  Through this I am amplifying and bringing that truer aspect of you (us) into greater awareness so that it can be known.  We often need multiple touches of finding connection to ourselves here because our default conditioning and the default conditioning of our collective conscious is so strongly form focused.  With increasingly more touches to this aspect of ourselves we begin to come to know it more and more and overtime our identity shifts from physical, body me focused into light, formless, we focused.  The more we come to know ourselves as the light wave frequency that we are the less we perceive separation, the more the nonphysical opens up in our awareness and less individual person centric we become.

Touching into this aspect of ourselves can come in multiple ways.  It can come through using the power of our thoughts to bring focus to it.  It can come through identifying and destabilizing beliefs that are out of alignment with knowing ourselves at this level.  It can come through feeling the qualities of formless nature.  It can come through someone knowing their formless nature and thus seeing and mirroring your formless nature back to you.  With multiple tastes and the natural unfolding you begin to rest more and more into knowing yourself as the light before the form rather than the form itself.

Transparency

Transparency

Becoming light

32007403 - glittery lights silver abstract christmas background. At the onset of this New Year I picked a “word for the year” and that word was transparency.  It was the essence of what I wanted to put my focus on developing.  Becoming transparent.  I did not fully grok where this teaching would take me or what would unravel through it, but I will share some of what I have discovered and I hope it will be of service to your journey.

My primary inspiration for focusing on transparency was my lifelong pursuit (aka obsession) to be as clear and undistorted of a channel for light-love to move through me, as me, for others.  This has always in some way or other been the driving force of my existence.  Over the years I’ve kept the question in the forefront of my awareness as to how I can surrender more, get more out of the way of that which wants to express through me, while unconsciously separating “myself” and “that which comes through me”.  This is subtle but a very important distinction.  I realized that for the most part “I” meaning my mind and who I think I am has been misidentified, thinking it is this body and this personality.  Thus perpetuating separation of “me” and that which is all knowing, light, love, grace, goodness, god.  I mean after all who am I to be so arrogant to think I am that!  This was the underlying message I told myself, consciously or not, and brought me to first fundamental learning of transparency.  Knowing your worth.

Knowing your worth

Many of us realize that one of our core “woundings” is feeling or believing that we are not worthy.  Worthy of love, life, or existence.  There are subtle messages we tell ourselves that we are not deserving of x, y or z.  We often disguise this as being practical and saying for example “its not practical for me to buy that house I really  want” or “that person is out of my league”.  Knowing your worth requires that you discover where these little messages hide out in your mind and bringing them to the surface to be seen, accepted and allowing them to transform through your acknowledgment of them.

Another way this can be seen is by how much value we have for what we share of ourselves.  The more real or raw we become the more this can be seen.  As we become less and less protected, we begin to “share ourselves” more than sharing of a thing such as a product or service or giving/doing out of duty, obligation or necessity.  We are then  confronted with the value mirror, which most people run like hell from because it often reflects the belief that we have nothing of value to really give because we are inherently empty.  This “emptiness” occurs because we have not yet realized who and what we truly are.  We are still believing we are this personality and image we try so hard to attain and then maintain, however that is not truth and therefore is devoid of any real substance.

For some this can feel like rock bottom, or like the rug got pulled out from under their life and they can barely catch their breath.  For others this is the beginning of bliss because finally they can stop pretending and putting up fronts and begin to realize more  truth.  How you perceive it is really up to you and your previous conditioning and life experiences, however it will eventually lead to the same realization, which is that the emptiness is filled with light and light is you.  Its who/what you actually are.  You are the light that fills the form you call your body.  You are the light of awareness which creates all things. You are both creator and created.  Everything is of the same fabric, which is love-light, and that fabric is you.

woman and lightI realized through my journey in becoming transparent that I am light.  It is not just something that I channel or am getting out of the way of.  It is what I am.  I’m certain that there are realizations even beyond this, but this is what embodying transparency taught “me”.  So what does it take?  It starts with determination and discipline to be present with all expressions of you as they arise and acceptance of what is even if you don’t like it.  This process will soften your defenses so that more of what is not you falls away, the layers that cover up what is underneath get peeled back and more of the light shines through.  As this occurs separation between “you” and the light dissolves.  You merge with that which is already you.
