BE THE SOURCE OF WELLNESS

BE THE SOURCE OF WELLNESS

Get to give

Most are in a constant strive to get.  Get possessions, get relationships, get money, get fame, get love, get safety, get healthy, get enlightened, get well.  Getting seems to be the only way we experience what we want, or at least we think it is.  Many of our social and cultural structures are built around getting something or getting somewhere.  School, competitive sports, the right job, the creative business, even vacations, meditation, and leisure activities can become sources of getting for us when the intention is to get something out of them even if it’s relaxation.

Now there is nothing inherently wrong with getting.  It’s simply that getting is an outsourcing of our own power.  It is also a never-ending, scarce way to approach life because it seems as though there will always be more that you need to get.  The perspective that drives this approach is rooted in a sense of lack of a self.  When there is not recognition of a self, of a you, that has impact and is a creator, than the source of creatorship or power appears to come from the things we perceive to be around us.  This is classical projection or disowning one’s power or self.

While many people in spiritual circles and communities are busy attempting to dismantle their sense of a self, or ego identity as a separate individual, you must first discover that there is a self to dismantle.  If you don’t you will continue to come from disempowered views even if you occasionally experience high states of energy or have spiritual insights and experiences.  From a developmental perspective there is first non-awareness of self (or a pre-self) in which it seems life is randomly happening and there is a getting to survive.  Secondly there is development of a self, of a person, that has impact, that can do stuff and where there is a you that is happening to life.  Here we get in order to validate that we are a self and that we are important.  Thirdly there is non-self or transcending the sense of a separate individual person self into a unified sense of one self.  To develop from the second to third we must transition from getting perspectives to giving perspectives.  Here to give is to get as all is one being, yet that is only realized through first making the shift from get to give.

GETTING IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO RECEIVE

The frequency you choose

As much as we might believe that getting is the only way to receive what we think we want or need, it’s only because that is the prime way we’ve been operating.  We think we need to get something in order to experience what we desire.  For example if we don’t feel relaxed we think we need to do something or find someone to “give” us relaxation. Hence we need to get relaxation from somewhere. This can go for anything we are attempting to get like wealth, relationships, love, safety, health, enlightenment, wellness, and on.  Most people think they need to get these things or how else on earth will they ever experience them.

Like everything else getting is simply a frequency.  When we vibrate with the frequency of “get” then we are vibrating with a sense of what we want isn’t here and that we must somehow, someway get it.  Essentially we are vibrating with the frequency of “not” or “lack.”  Nearly everyone is doing this, but they are unconscious to it, and even beyond that they don’t realize that they are in charge of their frequency to begin with.  The way I see it, the only true responsibility any of us has is to our frequency.   Though we might think we are responsible for all the comings and goings of life, of people’s reactions and feelings, and on and on, the only one real responsibility we have is how we choose to vibrate.  Yet we must recognize our choosing and that it is our choice first.  This is where that second stage of development comes in, the recognition of a self, a self that does onto life, prior to merging into the one self.

In the recognition that we choose what we vibrate as you see that how you vibrate is what you give.  You give your vibration.  It’s natural and effortless regards of whatever vibration you choose to be, whether it’s lack or abundance, or getting or giving.  What you give is also what you then experience.  This is how you experience all things you want to experience without trying to go out and get them.  You must ask yourself what is at the core of everything it is that you want to get.  When you find the core of it, whether its love, safety, supported, nurtured, cared for, vital, free or well, decide to choose that vibration to be.  This is the only way you actually experience it.  Even if you continue to believe in the getting path, many of you know that you will get things that you think will give you what you want, but sooner rather than later, you feel not how you wanted to feel or how you hoped the thing would make you feel.  It’s because you never owned, you never became it.  You never became the vibration of what you wanted, you only temporarily projected it onto something, but then realized that all something’s change, and with the change so did your feeling state of what you desired.

In order to not be shifted by all the changing of things you must be in ownership of what you vibrate.  Not in a sort of, sometimes way, where you are still trying to get what you want, while pretending to be spiritual.  Rather this is to be the source of wellness, after all you are it.  It is the end of using permission slips and projections.  To own that you are the source, is to be fully responsible for how you experience everything inside of your experience.  You are not responsible for the experience, rather only what you give to it, what you be, what you vibrate.  It is the end of the chase and of the never-ending experience of scarcity, but only if you so choose.  The projection, the appearance, the experience, won’t change until you do, or better said the projection, appearance or experience will mirror whatever it is you vibrate.

MAKING THE INNER MATTER

MAKING THE INNER MATTER

Inner states, projects & endeavors

We all have a collection of activities, projects, and things that we deem valuable and worth our time.  It’s easy to see what these things are, as they are the things we spend our time engaged in on a day to day basis.  It’s important to pause for a moment and recognize what exactly it is you spend your time and energy doing as this is what you are prioritizing as most important.  Often times we say that such and such thing matters to us, and yet we spend little to no time and energy focused on it.  We may not even be aware of the mismatch of what we say is important and what we spend our time doing, but when we pause and look at the reflection of our life as a mirror we can’t refute what we see.

We also tend to value the outer more than the inner.  What I mean by this is that we make external projects or activities that produce physical, tangible results superior to internal projects that create more depth and connection inside our inner experience.  The perspective of the outer as productive and worthwhile, and the inner as just a hobby or self-indulgent, keeps inner endeavors having seemingly less value to us in our own eyes.  Even though we might say that inner work matters, we spend minimal time cultivating our ideal inner state because we see it as not as important as the physical creations.

You might be wondering just exactly what inner projects and endeavors are.  Inner projects and endeavors all have to do with cultivating the state of being of where you come from.  There are infinite ways to cultivate our inner state, some of which may be external activities such as exercise, yoga, or coming in for your entrainments, but the focus is on producing or generating the state of being you desire to live as while you interact with your environment.

Most desirable inner states often have to do with feeling a sense of stability, peace, joy, love and aliveness.  If this isn’t your ordinary state of being than there is inner work to be done and inner projects to initiate in order to find this as your foundation.  So many people desire their resting state of being to be joy and peace and yet they don’t put enough of their value on it.  Rather they value what they can produce and what they perceive needs to be done regardless of their inner state of being.  The result is a lack of presence and real engagement or participation with life.

TAKE THE RISK

Prioritize the inner

There may be some perceived risks in valuing the inner.  One of the most common scarcity beliefs that arises is that there is not enough time.  The mind will often create a story that if you focus on the inner than you won’t get all of the outer things done that you either want to or need to.  This can also be looped into the story that you won’t fulfill your purpose, be of enough service or maximize your intention for existing.  Our focus is so predominantly on the physical aspect of our world and the thinking that our service and purpose is only in what we create or produce.  This is a largely accepted perception, particular in spiritual groups and thinking.  It is also largely distorted.

The way I see it is that where we come from (our inner state of operation) is way more important than anything we can or will ever produce.  I am not discounting the value on the external.  I see tremendous value in unleveling systems, creating new offerings for humanity, and sourcing novel ways to organize life that support others.  Supportive environments and systems matter, and can create a more fun, easeful and enjoyable experience of life.  Yet they will all come and go.  Systems and environments change, but we are what evolves and grows.  Our awareness, our consciousness, our state of being, we take with us inside of every new system and environment that we create.  Despite the obviousness of this, we still think that the production, the doing, and all the things we want to create and manifest matter more than the inner state.

Where we create from, where do from, where we live from, is an endeavor worth taking the risk of investing our time and energy.  The only true thing lost is the illusion of the story that the external manifestation is most important.  What if you decided to shift your thinking and behavior, and place 90% of your focus on cultivating your inner state of being to be one of joy, peace, and love, and 10% focus on what you are physically creating or doing.  I imagine for most a sense of fear arises if they truly entertain this, as everything they have been placing their focus on crumbles out of view.  It is a death.  A death of placing our value on external manifestations.  A death of projecting our value and worth into things.

Does it feel risky?  Yes it does.  It’s a giving of your life, your attention, your energy and your focus to your state of being rather than what you think you are creating.  It’s trusting that life will continue to create through you as you align your focus in this way.  It’s prioritizing your state of being over what you think you need to do.  What if you started by creating an inner project?  Perhaps you want to establish self-love.  Create a 12 week program for yourself to uncompromisingly love yourself.  Place this as your top value.  Put whatever into the program you think needs to be included.  Be creative.  Movement, activity and “life” will still occur, but your priority above all else is self-love.  When your program is done, then be done.  Receive that which you desire to be.  You can do this with any inner state quality you wish to cultivate.  The key is you can’t just kind of do this.  You can’t partially make it valuable.  It will take all of you to be on board.  Take the risk.  Test the results.  Experience the magic unfold.

Healing through being

Healing through being

What healing is & how it occurs

Old vintage oval mirror standing on wooden tableThe cultural belief is that one person must do something to another person often via some tool, technique or device, in order for the person to heal from what is seemingly ailing them.  Everything from our modern medical establishment to the plethora of healers with their healing modalities reinforces this belief.  There are ever so few people out there including healers, no matter how alternative they are in their thinking or methods, that really understand what healing is and how it occurs.

Healing is 100% an inside job.  It is all about your perception and relationship to what is.  Tools, techniques, devices, healers, etc are all simply permission slips for the already whole state to be mirrored to you and accepted by you.  The reason why some methods or healers seem to be better or more effective than others is because the mode of presentation of the method or the person is more acceptable to you.  Meaning you feel some resonance with either the person/healer or the tool and therefore it is a better permission slip for you; you more easily accept that it will work for you and therefore it does.  This is why some things or healers appear to work for some people and not for others.  It is really never about the thing/healer, as the thing or person is inherently neutral.  Instead it is all about what lands for you and gives you a sense of an inner “yes”.  You must follow that inner yes as it will guide you to those things which will work best for you and which your being is most receptive too.  Until you are fully rested in the knowingness of your wholeness having mirrors and permission slips is vitally important.

It is my experience and understanding that the true role of the healer is not to “do” anything.  Instead the role is simply that of a mirror that reflects the true, whole essence.  Call that reflection love if you will.  A healer simply reflects love so that when you are in the presence of such healer you see your true self, which is love.  Love is perfection, completion, and wholeness so therefore when you see yourself as this everything in your seeming external environment (including your body) becomes that.  Everything follows your perception.  When your perception sees love, knows love, then everything becomes love.   Seeing through the lens of love or wholeness is what healing is and how it occurs.

Healing through being

True health is a state of well-being

Attractive young woman in white meditating at lake.Due to the fact that we are largely focused on doing, rather than being, our focus is almost perpetually on what is being done rather than the state of presence or being itself.  If enough has been done, changed or accomplished than we feel successful.  We almost never gauge our success on how well we “be-ed” today.  This is also true when we look at our own healing.  We tend to focus on what has physically changed as a measure of success, meaning did the symptoms go away.  Symptoms going away actually has relatively little to do with healing.  A person can be symptom free and not be healthy.  A person can have multiple symptoms but be in a state of pure presence, love and grace (state of being rather than doing).   To be healthy is to be in a state of well-being.  The mere presence or absence of symptoms is a crappy indicator of a state of health despite what we have been brainwashed to believe.

When I am working with someone no matter what tool, form or technique that I am using, my focus is not on what is being done, but instead on the nature of existence or awareness.  It is a focus on beingness and the perfected acceptance of all that is, including you.  When that reflection of perfection is received by you the effects of that are frequently that something seems to have changed or been done.  This can be noticed by changes in your physical form, such as how a place in your body is opening or shifting, or some movement of energy, but a change in the physical is not a requirement for healing to occur.  You can still have symptoms, but be in a state of pure, perfected, bliss and oneness, where the presence or absence of symptoms doesn’t even touch you because you are so rested in perfected love.

It is when we develop resistance to what is that our state of being (aka health) declines.  Resistance is the state of being that equals ill health.  Just how many people are fighting or trying to change the appearance of what is, thinking that the harder they fight and the more seemingly unflawed the appearance (aka body), the more healed they will become?  I’d say just about pretty much everyone thinks this way.  We resist because our mind tells us that we don’t like what is, or that what is is bad or wrong, or that it means something negative, but what if through acceptance of what is (rather than the fight to fix or conquer it) we found all the healing that we are seeking for so badly.  What if it has never been about what is done to you, but instead your relationship to what is, which by the way is 100% in your control.  What if your healing has been within your power all along.  I’m here to tell you confidently that is has, its just that the path has seemed a bit cloudy.  I’m here to help clear the clouds so that that which already is can be seen and accepted by you.

Acceptance doesn’t mean that things don’t still occur or aren’t seemingly still done.  Things occur.  Movement happens. Appearances, including your body and symptoms, change.  Your life can be undergoing major transitions and transformations.  Its simply that your well-being isn’t dependent on what is occurring anymore.  You’ve transcended the need to control circumstances, again including your body, and you now allow and move with whatever arises within your experience, all the while learning and growing and being rested in knowing that all is perfectly well.

Dampening out love

Dampening down love

Dumbing it down, numbing it out

34249675 - metaphorical expression of squashed heart on a black backgroundMost of us are afraid of our own hearts.  True story.  We can use a myriad of excuses as to why we can’t love, feel love or be love, but what is boils down to is that we are afraid to love.  Afraid to use that thing that sits in the middle of our chest and is the core essence of what every person is striving, consciously or unconsciously, to feel more of.

So what are we really afraid of?  We fear rejection, being “too much”, not being received by others, or feeling too much.  We also create stories about what it means to love, which limit our expression of it, and thus of ourselves.  The level of love that we choose to express in most situations is correlated with how much of it we think the other can receive.  If it seems that the other can only take a certain amount in, then we dumb it down or numb it out.  Meaning we numb and dumb what we are feeling which then influences the actions we will or won’t take.

This simply choice dramatically impacts the level of passion, desire, and drive we have for life.  Our fear of rejection, need of acceptance, and inability to be vulnerably safe overpowers that of anything else.  We will squash our own selves to significant degrees just to make sure that others receive us.  Then we wonder why we “can’t feel” anything and seem to wander aimlessly claiming to not know our purpose in life. Its because we have compressed, shut down, or numbed out the very thing that is our compass and guide on this journey of life.  Our heart.

Love in expression

Reconnecting with your inner compass

92561896 - heart with compass isolated on white backgroundLove is love.  It has no limits.  Its bound by nothing and is the essence of everything.  Regardless of how much you participate in the expression of love has no effect on love itself.  Love itself never changes, is always present and is abundance itself.  It is your truest nature and core essence.  However most of us do not know this, believe it or really get it.  Instead we believe that we are separate, isolated, distinct beings, and thus live disconnected from the source of what we are.  With this we think we can be cast out, not included and need to fit in and fend for ourselves.  We fall out of alignment and feel that things are not right or could go wrong at any moment.  The result of this is protection, defense and being “on guard”, which is also known at chronic stress or fight/flight.

Reconnecting with your inner compass, aka your heart, requires noticing when you are in reaction and defense in your body and in your day to day life interactions.  One of things that Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) assists you with is noticing where you are in defense and protection mode in your body.  Where you are holding resistance and tension patterns.  NSA does not magically eliminate these tension patterns, but instead illuminates them so that you are more aware of how you do you.  Without this illumination and awareness it is impossible for you to create different choices or hold yourself differently.  How you hold yourself in your body is a reflection of how you interact with life.  If you hold yourself in tension and protection then your participation in life and with others will reflect this as well.

Love in greater expression also takes risk and courage.  Courage to look or feel dumb, to not be received in the way you hope and desire, and to do it anyway.  There is not a single guarantee.  It is simply a matter of how you desire to show up and be with life.  This life really is a momentarily glimpse.  I invite you to stop dampening and numbing it out.  Be bold, take the risk and let love express through you in the myriad of ways you desire to express it.

Un-fear yourself!

Un-fear yourself

A look at your beliefs

43947471 - fear.If you are human you have experienced fear.  Fear is simply the belief that things are not working or going to work out for you.  It comes with the thoughts that you will be hurt, won’t be taken care of or loved, that you are on your own, separate and isolated.  Fun times🎉, not.

The addiction to believing that things aren’t working out for you is strong and it literally destroys life. Patterns get deeply engrained in your nervous system and cascades of chemicals, like adrenaline and cortisol, get released into your blood stream when you have thoughts that say “things aren’t working out”.  This sets up withdrawal symptoms when you start questioning your fear based thoughts. Who would you be if you believed every situation was working out for you? Crazy? Delusional? Psychotic?  These are the labels we’ve learn to give people who see the light in every situation.

The emotional-chemical cascade will do its best to hijack your system so you continue to feel separate, unsupported, empty and not cared for, as this is what has been the norm for most people’s lives to varying to degrees. This is “comfortable” in that it’s known, and what is known feels more safe than the unknown, even if the unknown is more true.

Life is always working for you

Shifting perspectives

42024392 - child, excitement, ecstatic.Fear and excitement are the same energy, simply viewed through different lenses. To un-fear yourself you must see how everything is working for you. How the relationship that just ended is working for you. How getting fired is working for you. How the painful sensation in your body is working for you. How your current income and resources are working for you.

This reframes your thinking from a lack-based perspective to a presence-based perspective. It’s much more fun to be in presence than it is lack. There is excitement for the unknown possibilities that are emerging based on your belief that everything is working for you, instead of worry for the unknown possibilities that are emerging based on the belief that things aren’t working out for you.

The catch is you must change your perspective before it will be reflected differently in your life. You can’t wait for your perfect life circumstances to magically arrive and then decide to see that life is working for you. If you attempt to do this, then even when you have achieved your ideal life you will not see it. You will be unable to perceive it because you haven’t shifted your underlying belief from lack to presence

You must see how life is already working for you now despite whatever circumstance you are experiencing. Then as life continues to unfold you will see the perfection of it because you have already changed your belief to align with it.  These patterns are underlying in most people’s nervous systems and sabotage our desires & dreams often silently without us even knowing they are there. They are masters of deception and require commitment, persistence and dedication to bring them to light for the ultimate goal of shifting from fear silently controlling your life, to living your life based in freedom.

Well-being is not a luxury, its a must!

Well-being is not a luxury, it’s a must!

Feeling great is your birthright

There has been a surge in wellness services in the last 10 years.  The intention of these services is not to fix a pain or problem, but instead of help people feel great in body-mind-spirit.  A portion of the population utilizes such services because they have an inherent value around feeling amazing in their body and life.  A larger portion of the population doesn’t seem to value such services, typically reporting that such services are a luxury and not a necessity in their life because there is not an imminent life threatening problem staring at them in the face.

Kevin Trudeau quoteThe other conundrum is that when people feel relatively good they often don’t realize that they can feel even better.  They create a ceiling for themselves that looks like “I’m doing good and this is as good as it gets.”  This may be an unconscious script running in their mind as a result of perceived limitations of how good a person can feel.  There may also be underlying beliefs about how good they can allow themselves to feel.  Some older belief systems conditioned people that it was bad to feel too good, thus capping what feels permissible.

I’m about to tell you what nobody may have told you before – It is your birthright to feel amazing.  Not only that, but your body is meant to express full health and you are supposed to feel energized and alive, no matter your age.  I’ve met plenty of vibrantly alive 90 year olds in my time.

Lifting your ceiling

From feeling Good to feeling Amazing

raise ceilingIf we want to claim our birthright we need to raise our standards on what is possible for our well-being and place greater value of feeling great.  Being pain or symptom free does not mean your are well.  Having only positive emotions or thoughts does not mean your well.  Being well means you experience a sense of joy and bliss being alive in your body and you are actively finding ways to increase your capacity to feel even more amazing.

Why is well-being and feeling amazing so important and not a luxury?  One, because when you feel amazing it rubs off on everyone you meet.  They start to get a taste of it and start to feel better themselves.  By allowing yourself to feel better and better, you heal, and so do others.  Two, the energy state that is created in your body when you feel amazing is incompatible with the energy state that creates disease and ill health.  Disease thrives is a poor/low energy state.  Health thrives in a rich/high energy state.

So you see well-being is not a luxury.  We must begin to reframe our thinking and choose better.  Instead of focusing on eliminating the “bad” stuff in order to maintain a neutral “baseline” state, we must focus on how we can feel even better (despite the perceived bad stuff), in order to get to a richer, juicier, more alive state.  When you prioritize feeling amazing and take action steps towards greater well-being you will begin to see the limitations of your previously perceived ceiling and experience more aliveness and feel great-ness.

Lack is imaginary

Lack is imaginary

Just because you don’t have something doesn’t mean it does not exist

14396897 - happy young blonde girl opening a gift boxSay a stranger walked up to you and gave you tickets to watch your favorite musical artist at RedRocks this summer.  Prior to receiving these tickets you weren’t even aware that your favorite group was coming to town.  What a gift!  Later on that day when you get home you look in your bag for the tickets to put them in a safe place and you realize that they are not there.  After searching for hours, retracing steps and going over every possible place they could be you give up and deem that the tickets are lost forever.

The next day you go to your favorite coffee shop and it dawns on you that you took the tickets out of bag when you paid for your coffee yesterday.  When you ask the barista if they found your tickets, the barista says no, but you can feel that there is more to the story.  You can’t prove it, but you have sense that someone in that coffee shop found and took your tickets for themselves.  You feel bummed, a little angry and like you are missing out big time.

In this story it seems that you are now lacking tickets, however if you follow the story you see that the tickets have simply moved from one person, to you, and now to another person.  Before the stranger gave you the tickets you did not feel you where lacking them, in fact, you didn’t even know that your musical group was coming to town.  As you can see lack is simply a story (aka an imagination that you made up) that you don’t have something, not an actual deficiency of it existing.

Expanding your imagination

Moving from lack to always present: “I” to “We”

When something is not in our immediate experience we have the tendency to think that it is lacking, especially if we had a taste of it before and now its not here.  We do this with money, relationships, health, business and happiness.  Perhaps you see other people with the things you want or behaving in the ways you want to be in the world and you feel jealous.  Jealously is simply a desire paired with your belief that you can’t have, get or deserve what it is you want (which by the way is another made up story of lack).

To move from lack to always present (also known as abundance) requires a shift in “I” consciousness to “we” consciousness.  When you believe that you are a separate person, living in your bubble of reality, and feeling that life revolves around your story of it, then you will perceive lack.  Most people are living their lives in this way.  It drives us to protect ourselves, secure our future, and remain in survival mode perpetuating the belief that I must take care of myself to preserve my life and attain the things that I want.  It is why we do things that we don’t really want to be doing and why we suffer so greatly.

Shifting into “we” consciousness means that just because I don’t have something present in my immediate experience doesn’t mean that some other aspect of me doesn’t.  In “we” consciousness there is less distinction between me and you.  There are still two different expressions (you and me), but of one being.  It requires that you put aside your thoughts of what you need to survive or what your family needs to survive, and think bigger, include bigger.  Ask better questions.  What does humanity need to thrive?  How is humanity already thriving?  How can I appreciate that even more?  What can I give to another aspect of me?  In this way you give instead of lose something and perceive lack.  You feel appreciation of what others now have, instead of jealous of what you don’t have.  In “We” you feel intimately connected with everything else.  Your personal self becomes less relevant than your collective self.  You begin to experience love, happiness, purpose and contribution on bigger scales.

Don’t just believe me, experience this for yourself.  Start by seeing something your previously perceived as lost or lacking as a gift to someone else.  Then include yourself in someone else and begin to taste “We-ness”.

Using anger productively

Using anger productively

Harnessing the power to transform

43775966 - angry bearded man screaming into the phonePeople use anger in a myriad of unproductive ways.  Those that express their anger unproductively use it to blame others for their problems, prove their rightness and feel in control.  People also repress their anger unproductively.  Doing this allows them to be insignificant, not take a stand for themselves or what they value and not be the authority in their lives.  Neither of these ways are healthy, nor do they harness the transformative power of anger.

One of the reasons why people don’t know how to work with their anger effectively is because it hasn’t been modeled in our culture.  We are taught that anger is bad or scary (so we repress it) or have learned that its what we need to do to manipulate a person/situation and be seen, heard and get our needs met (express unproductive).

The real purpose and power of anger is to use it to create standards for yourself and your life.  Lets say you are changing a story that you have about yourself that “you are not worthy”.  You declare a new story for yourself that now says “you are pure worth and love”.  In order to do this effectively you must first be fed up and pissed off enough that you’ve been dropping your standards on who you are up to this point.  It must become intolerable for you to entertain the story that you are not lovable.  If it is does not reach the level of intolerability you will sink back into old patterns.  Anger gives you the fuel to say, “no more, this is not good enough for me, I’m never going back.”

Permissioning & directing anger

Find your fuel

Anger does not need to be explosive to be impactful.  It does need to be direct, clear, unwavering and come from a place love for self and others.  Productive anger has the quality of being firm in what is being conveyed or upheld, and simultaneous soft in it coming from a deeply caring place of creating greater value for all involved.

People who have learned to repress their anger they can find it challenging to permission themselves to feel it.  Repressed anger can be masked in neutrality, boredom, niceness and uncertainty.  For these people, in finding their anger, they will often laugh when their anger arises to disperse their uncomfortableness with it.  People who have learned to express their anger unproductively find it difficult to soften and care about themselves and others in the midst of their outburst.  In directing their anger they will go into blame of self or others.

confident womanRegardless of how you have learned to deal with anger in the past the goal of productive anger is to help you be your own authority by moving through victimhood into empowerment.  From an empowered place you are the decision maker of what is right and wrong for you and you alone.  There is only your standards for your life and you are accountable to keep them.  It is moving through layers of conditioning about what you’ve been taught about how things work and who you are, to becoming the determiner, creator and master of your life.  Productive anger is key in this process of providing the fuel to transform the places you keep yourself small so that you can shine in your magnificence.  Using anger productively is fiercely loving yourself enough to care about your life.

Science has been relatively mechanistic when it comes to how it thinks about the body.  Meaning it sees you as parts, and when one of the parts quits working, you fix it like parts on a car.  What science is now showing us, which fields like chiropractic, acupuncture and energy medicine have always known, is that there is a substance (energy) that informs the body.  This field of energy is non-physical but informs how the physical body functions.  The field has both electric and magnetic properties and is therefore called electromagnetic.

Your brain and nervous system are extremely pivotal in how your body functions, however studies now show that your heart has even greater influence.  The electrical signals that come from your heart are 60 times stronger than that of the brain and the magnetic signals are 5,000 times stronger (HeartMath Institute).  This means that activating your heart is even more important than keeping your brain active in order to produce health and longevity!

How does your heart speak?

Activating your heart

Clearly your heart is important.  The question now is ‘how do you activate it?’ Your heart speaks through feeling.  It can both sense (called intuition) and produce feeling. Your heart is like your own little portable electromagnetic sensor and generator, and powerful one at that!

You are the determiner of the feeling states your heart produces. There are 3 general feeling states:

  1. Negative: When you activate feeling in your heart that would be termed “negative” you produce disorganized signals and information, hence you feel crappy and have poor energy.  Disorganized signals sends distorted information to your brain, confuse your cells and create ill health.
  2. Neutral: When you feel neutral (meaning you are not actively producing negative or positive emotions) then your body gets neutral information and you have limited energy.  This means you have energy for the basic necessities of life and to fuel your body, but that is it.
  3. Positive: When you activate “positive” feelings with your heart, you produce highly organized information, which equates to feeling amazing and energetic rich.  Highly organized information excites your brain and improves energetic efficiency.

As crazy as this sounds, what is required is for you to feel good about feeling bad, and to actively produce positive feelings instead of being in a neutral state.  When you do this you increase the organization of your heart’s electromagnetic field, which infuses your physiology with love.

Network Chiropractic helps infuse your physiology with highly organized energy by helping you find, feel & use your heart and clears your nervous system from any interference to your heart’s abundant energetic resource.  If you would like more information on this topic Dr. Hessel will be giving a talk in the office on Wednesday March 29th at 7p on Heart Based Living & Love Infused Physiology.  Hope to see you there!

Value yourself enough to take care of yourself

How to create change and make better choices

As shocking as this may sound, many people don’t care or value themselves.  When you don’t value yourself you make poor choices for your health and your life because you have an underlying belief that it (meaning you) doesn’t really matter anyways.

The fastest way to create change and improve the health of our nation is by getting people to care about themselves enough to take care of themselves. Making sure people know they have something of value to contribute by being alive, and that they are worthy & lovable. When people know their inherent worth and value, just watch how their health improves, how they make better choices that support their vitality and ability to contribute their gifts.

We currently live in a system that thinks medicating and numbing all of our uncomfortable sensations, feelings and thoughts will heal us, when indeed it is the exact opposite.  When we numb feeling all the “bad” things we think about ourselves and don’t get the opportunity to feel and disprove them as true.  They lurk in the background without any momentum available to create change.  You must feel it to heal it!  When you start allowing yourself to feel again you begin to realize things (meaning you) aren’t as bad as you originally thought they were.

Vibrant health

The benefits of self-love, value, and worth are no small thing.  If you want extraordinary health and an amazing life you must get this.  This is not new age fluff.  It is the real deal.  Love is the only thing that will heal you ever.  Period.

Think of a time when you first fell in love with someone.  Remember how amazing you felt.  Everything worked easier and better.  What happened in this state is that you allowed yourself to feel love as reflected to you from another.  The secret is you don’t need another person to permission yourself to feel this way, you can be your “other” when you see your value and inherent worth.

There is a basic fear in many of us that we are empty inside, that there is nothing special about us and that we have no gifts or talents.  We are constantly trying to improve ourselves, learn more things, get more degrees, so that we can prove to ourselves that there is something of value inside of us.  Society praises us for this, so our behaviors get reinforced.  The problem with this is that after attaining all of this knowledge/skill we still feel empty inside because we haven’t learned the most basic thing of all, which is that just through your mere presence alone you are everything.  You don’t need special training or skills for this one.  It is simply who you are.  You are the energy that animates your body and the universe.  That energy is love.  It is what/who you are.  When you know this you will feel silly ever having believed you were anything else.  Your body will heal, your emotions will lighten and your mind will become clear.

The core essence of my mission on this earth is help people remember who and what they are.  Nothing is more exciting to me then seeing another gain clarity, find their heart again and heal like crazy.
