From Possibility to Actuality

FROM POSSIBILITY TO ACTUALITY

Probability & relevancy

We are all familiar with the idea that anything is possible.  In spiritual and transformational groups you hear this over and over again.  It’s meant to create an opening in your psyche and break you out of limited thinking.  Indeed anything is possible and there are infinite possibilities for what can be.  Anything that can be perceived as an option can also be part of your experience.  Allowing this to penetrate your mind can help you expand into a freer state of being.  It also feels good to bring this into the forefront of your awareness when you perceive obstacles or stop signs in your mind.  Yet what makes the difference between acknowledging that infinite possibilities exist and experiencing the actuality of those possibilities?

While we talk a lot about possibility, we talk less about probability and the relevance to experience whatever it is that we do.  While it’s possible that you could live in a mansion, be waited on hand and foot, and never leave the grounds of your self-made fantastical paradise, this might not be relevant for you.  So therefore while this entirely possible, it may not be highly probable.  On the seeming less positive sides of experience, it’s possible that you could have cancer, heart disease, scoliosis, arthritis, migraines or any other kind of condition, but it may not be relevant and therefore not highly probable for you.  Everything we experience has relevancy for us, which is why we are experiencing it.  If we like our experience, we don’t think much of it, but when we don’t prefer the experience we are having, we question, struggle, and suffer around experiencing whatever possibility it is that we are.  Everything is just a possibility.  Nothing is solid or unchangeable, it’s simply a matter of experiencing the relevant possibilities for whatever our growth, learning and expansion are in any moment of time.

Now that we’ve named relevancy as the “why” of our experiences, meaning we experience what we do because it’s relevant for us to do so, and relevancy increases the probability of any possibility, we are clear on the mechanism for how our experience comes to be.  We might not know all of the things we are learning, or are going to learn from any particular experience ahead of time, but that is all part of the process of learning.  We don’t know until we know.  There is no need to rush through anything, attempting to figure it out or get it over with already.  Just recognize that you are learning even if you aren’t sure what you are learning in this moment.  In some moment it will be very clear to you.  This rush to try to get somewhere is built on a false premise that there is somewhere to get.  There is only more and more learning and expansion.  Yes you will have different vantage points at different points across the experience of your life span, and yes some will be more preferable, but they are all providing learning for you.

DROPPING DEEPER

Beliefs & conviction

In some ways, while we know that infinite possibilities exist, we don’t actually believe that they do.  This disbelief in some thing being possible, probable and relevant for us, blocks us from dropping deeper into the experience of our preference.  We might even insist that we do believe that what we want is possible, yet on greater self-investigation we will discover disbelief, dismissing, dimming, dulling, denying and non-deserving, laying deep down dormant inside of our minds.  It might be shocking to find it, or maybe, in someway you kind of expect it to be there.  Nonetheless here you are now, aware of your dismissal of that possibility which you desire to experience.  A good dosing of regular self-investigation is required in order to see where your disbeliefs lie inside of you.  It’s the true medicine that allows for you to change your beliefs and move from possibility to actuality.

One step that goes even beyond belief is conviction.  To be convicted is be rested in what you know is possible.  It is to drop into a frequency state of being where you become the thing you are attempting to experience.  Rather than trying to manifest something into being, you become it inside of you.  Whatever you want to feel, experience, or know, you resonate as that and then you take no feedback from the outer experience of your life as validation of your preference happening or not happening.  You simply know it is happening, even if the physical appearance isn’t matching how you think it should be.  The more you rest into your conviction, it is possible that the outer appearance will look more like you think it should, but it may not as well.  The beauty is that you care less about the look of it all, and what’s happening or not happening, because you are the living state of what you desire.

When we become the living state of what we desire nothing interferes anymore.  We rest in the presence of our preferred state of being and that becomes our experience.  We know it because we are it.  We are beyond belief.  We are convicted in what we know is possible, probable and relevant.  We are in our power, not waiting on this or that thing to change, so that we can experience something different.  We shift first, then the outer does what it does in response.  We are not meant to control and manipulate the outer.  Attempting to do so is a game of burnout, frustration and exhaustion.  We are only meant to experience whatever it is that we do, and here’s the secret, we never actually experience anything but our state of being.  Even if it seems like we are feeling a certain way because of such and such condition(s) in our life, it is 100% about who we be inside of all of the conditions we experience.

From possibility to actuality is an inside job, not an outer one.  Actuality happens when you remove your disbelief about whatever possibilities you desire, taking into consideration probability and relevancy for your soul’s growth and expansion, and you realize that you can become the thing you desire if you truly desire it.  In this way, you become the remover of your own obstacles, experience no interference in what you desire to, and rest in the presence of what is here now.
