EVERYTHING IS HERE
The outward, inward chase

It seems as though we are always working towards something. Wanting to achieve, attain, or arrive at some new place or point. Never feeling quite content or fulfilled with whatever and wherever it is that we are, we create the idea of next. Where does the feeling of discontent and unfulfilled come from? If we trace it back to its origins it is always rooted in something or someone (including ourselves) not being quite enough. As we continue to chase the destination point of enoughness by getting to whatever is next or attaining more knowledge, wisdom, growth or money, we find ourselves on a treadmill where life seems to blur by as we race through it. If we stopped walking or running for a moment what is that we might feel? Some might think they would feel peace, but what many would feel is the actual discontent and unfulfilled feeling of not enoughness that is right there just beneath the surface of next or more.
Our insistent avoidance of feeling discontent, unfulfilled and ultimately not enough is what keeps us from feeling content, full and enough. As paradoxical as that might sound or seem, you can’t change what you don’t own. This is why what we resist persists. What we resist we don’t own and therefore we don’t see ourselves as the ones that can change or choose differently. Avoiding the discontent of not enoughness only prolongs our experience of it. Being with the discontent is what allows us to make a different choice. You must ask yourself, “what is it that I am attempting to get with all of my doing or going?” Where is it that I want to arrive that seems like it is over there somewhere? While it is true that there are some situations or circumstances that might better suit us than others and some that are more conducive to us accessing and being with ourselves, it is not in the situation that we find contentment, fullness or enoughness, but rather it is in us and what we choose.
Since what we are chasing outwardly is really just a reflection of an inward chase, you can see that everything is here, because right now and in every moment, you are here. You are always here, wherever here is for you. While your body may move through space and time, you yourself are continually right here. Where else could you be? Even if you move your body to another location on the planet, off the planet or wherever else you can imagine exists, you are still fundamentally in your here. Therefore everything is here, and “there” is not actually somewhere “else” that you can be, because everywhere you go you are. While you might have different perspectives in different physical, mental, emotional or spiritual locations, the location doesn’t contain or not contain contentment, fullness or enoughness. You contain those things inside of whatever location of here that you exist, in any moment, through your choosing of it.
CHOOSING ENOUGH
This moment contain all

Now you can see that you can’t get to contentment, fullness or enoughness by achieving, attaining or arriving somewhere other than where you are now. You can only choose those states of feeling and being, wherever it is that you are located. Nothing more is in a perceived destination that doesn’t also exist right now. Read that last sentence again. This doesn’t mean that you can’t or don’t have preferences for the locations that you would like to be in, because of course we all do. Rather it is the realization that you won’t actually get somewhere else by moving your body to a different spot or environment because everything that exists, exists now in this moment and in this location, because nothing else can exist outside of the present moment existence. It contains all. All other said things that “exist in the future” are only thoughts or concepts about a moment that is not this moment. Which means that it is not experiential but only hypothetical, aka not your real lived experience. Now it can be your real lived experience, but you have to take what you project that you are going to receive, get or arrive at in said future moment, and bring that into your present now moment, if you want to experience it all. Even if you get to said made up hypothetically location in a future present moment, you only experience there what you project onto that location that you will experience when you are there.
If you tracked all that kudos to you because this is the stuff of mastery, and yet it is equally fundamental to the way existence works and as such is elementary and obvious. Watch a child under the age of 3. They live solely in the present moment. Nothing else exists to them, because truly nothing else exists outside of right here right now. So we all get this, yet we’ve forgotten it. We are so busy trying to return to this remembrance, yet we think that this remembrance, which is our contentment, fullness and enoughness, must somehow be gotten, achieved, earned, or proven. We think we must arrive into fullness rather than choose it now. We won’t arrive if we don’t choose it. The choosing comes before the arriving, not the other way around. Choosing creates our experience, our location on our path does not.
Fullness and enoughness exists at every present moment on the path. There is not a present moment where enoughness doesn’t exist. You can experience it or not experience it, but that experience is determined by your choosing of it. Whether or not you choose fullness in any given moment doesn’t change fullness itself, it only changes your experience of it. As always remember that your free will is in your ability to choose. Nothing and no one can take this from you. You ALWAYS have the ability to choose, to decide how and what you fill your present moment experience with. While you don’t always get to choose your physical locations or the things and people inside of them, you always get to choose how you experience it. Everything that exists, exists now. Awakening to the fact of this and awakening to the remembrance of your power to choose, is all that is required to experience whatever it is you want to experience. Whether that is ecstatic joy, connection with your higher self, heightened energy states, inner peace or deep levels of well-being, it’s all available now. Simply ask yourself in each moment, of each seeming day, what it is that you want to be and feel, and commit to feeling and being whatever that is.
