INTERCONNECTIVE FIELD OF INTELLIGENCE
Fullness of space

Many of us have heard of “the field”, an alive, interconnected, interwoven and all pervasive intelligence, but what exactly is it? Some might call it spirit, life force or source, but that can still feel a bit mysterious and illusive. Imagine for a moment that all space, all which seems empty around you and out into the vastness of the cosmos, is filled with invisible energy. Energy that you might not be able to see, touch or sense, but that is vibrating, moving, and for all intents and purposes, alive. Teeming with life. Awake. Full. While it might seem like a paradox that space is full, and even beyond that alive with life, but I would invite you to try it on. Simply because we can’t sense something yet or don’t have instrumentation able to measure it, doesn’t make it not real. If we practice perceiving something with enough openness to it, most often we can begin to tune our antennas to it. Meaning we are able to dial into different frequencies of creation just through the practice of focusing on them with our intention.
This field of interconnective intelligence is all pervasive. Just like your body sits in what you call space, it is really sitting in and permeated by this field. This field contains all energy and all information. Not just information like facts about planet earth and the humans that live on it, but information about and from life in the entirety of creation. Nothing is separate or apart from this field. It is the web that connects us all. A web that we can’t be separate from or get out of even if we tried, because it is life or existence itself. It contains the blueprint for every form that arises out of it. It is the source of energy that animates all forms. It is so obvious, almost too obvious, because it is everywhere. Without it no life is possible. You couldn’t know or be anything without it. Every texture, flavor and expression is impregnated with this field.
The reason we don’t sense the fullness of it is multifaceted. One reason is that it doesn’t fit inside of the boxes of our current perceptions and beliefs about life. Two is that our nervous system and connected sensory capabilities haven’t been tuned into it. Three is it is only relevant for us to be aware of it to the degree it is relevant for us to be aware of it. If we have a life theme that doesn’t include having access to it, well then we won’t. Fourth is that to begin to notice the fluidity or fullness of the field, or the invisible nature of it, we need to open into our hearts. The mind keeps us in a seemingly solid and separate perspective of self-identity and preservation, but the heart allows for movement and transparency. The ability to see through what is solid comes from the intelligence of the heart because its nature is interwoven. It allows us to go beyond the barriers, bubbles and boundaries of the separate perspective and into something more. Even if we don’t know what that more is at first, the perception of interconnectivity awakens through the heart.
HEART-BRAIN CONNECTIVITY
The heart’s nervous system

While we have historically thought of the brain and nervous system as the primary elements that enable consciousness, more and more evidence is leading towards the heart being the central guide of the human operating system. The heart leading and the brain following. One might call this the shift from head to heart. It is not that one is better than the other, but rather an interplay between the two. This begs the age old question of what is consciousness and where does awareness come from? This brings me back to the interconnective field of intelligence. This aliveness that is the wakefulness of all forms. The source of consciousness is this field and how the human form can interact with it depends on the structures and connectivity that is available inside and around these bodies that we call ours. We could speculate that all of the structures required to fully access this field of aliveness already exist inside of our present form. By the mere fact that we can at times experience non-ordinary, extrasensory or what we might call mystical experiences indicates that we have the hard wire required to do so. However in order to experience these as an increasing norm we need the connectivity, the pathways or the roads inside of our body or around our body to activate, illuminate or energize.
Once a pathway is open it needs reinforcement. For example say we ingest a substance that lights up a pathway and activates the structures connected to it so that we then experience something beyond ordinary. We either 1) need to keep taking the substance to light up the path or 2) need to figure out how to activate that pathway without the substance, which we might say is a bit more work on our part. To practice adjusting our own internal psychological and physiological state takes discipline and focus. This brings me back to the heart. In my experience mystical or expanded states of consciousness occur through activating the pathways of the heart. While many of the neural pathways in our brain or other nervous system structures are activated in our daily routines, when we combine those pathways with that of the heart something alchemizes and unfolds that allows our awareness to experience more of itself.
Science has been able to discover neuronal like structures in the physical heart, demonstrating a heart like nervous system. As these neurons make more pathways we are able to experience more of the fullness of the interconnective field of intelligence through these human bodies. How do we activate these neurons in the heart? First we have to clear the noise that clutters up our inner space. You can do this through meditation or whatever other practices you enjoy. Then intentionally drop your focus from your head into your heart space. You might place your hand on your heart to help guide your focus there. So much of the time our energy is up in our head without us even knowing that it is centered there, but you can deliberately bring your awareness into the heart space and even around the physical heart into the space of the subtle heart body. Then to whatever degree you are able, start to feel the space of your heart. You don’t have to put anything there that isn’t already there. You are just waking up your awareness to this massive energy source of unconditionality that is always here, but rarely noticed in the busyness of mind. Stay there as long as you are able. When you aren’t there, notice that you’ve left. As soon as you become aware that you’ve left, you can return. It is through this simple practice that you come into contact with the interconnective field of intelligent aliveness, which is teeming with life and all the energy and information you could ever want or need.
